Tim Hanni MW, CWE is one of the first two resident Americans to successfully
complete the examination and earn the title Master of Wine, holds the title
of Certified Wine Educator from the Society of Wine Educators and is a
professionally trained chef. Tim has been involved with a variety of wine
and food related businesses, education and research for over thirty-five
years.
His newest business venture, Napa Seasoning Company LLC, is in the
formulation and design phase of creating a product to solve the wine and
food pairing dilemma for wine consumers. It is a food seasoning that is used
as a delicious addition to almost any dish that enhances the entire dining
experience. They are planning on launching its first product in May of 2007.
He is also a founding principal in WineQuest, an on-line hospitality
training company that provides services to Ritz Carlton, Starwood, Marriott
and other hotel organizations and P.F. Chang's, Ruth's Chris, Outback and
many other restaurant chains.
Tim's current research work is focused on how human sensations connect
us to our physical world, how the brain processes sensations we
experience and the functions and fallibilities of language in
communicating what we experience. He is recognized as a leader in
developing and executing unique and proven marketing strategies using
unique and proven consumer segmentation and category management models
based this work.
Tim is available for conducting a range of creative, fun and demonstrative
wine and food presentations. He has worked with a diverse range of companies
and organizations and delivered presentations in more than 20 countries
world wide.
In his spare time he also plays guitar in his wife's Band; Kate Hanni and
the Toasted Heads. They own and track a 2005 Lotus Elise which Kate gets to
drive on Mondays, Thursdays and alternate weekends while Tim has custody on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. He is on the boards of the Napa Valley
Symphony, Grapes for Humanity and the Masters of Wine North America.
